Quality of Offerings: LOVE that you don't have auditions and give this great opportunity to so many individuals! And it's fantastic that you're offering free performances. Great way to make orchestral music accessible! Impact: Your model allows you to have a serious impact on your community. Congrats! Track record: Best of luck to you as you continue to grow! |

The overall plan/proposal is well structured, but there is a lack of impact. Given the scope of the orchestra more engagement is possible. No marketing material was submitted, so it hard to assess their effectiveness. Appreciate that this season there is more of a focus on marketing, but that track record needs to be better established. | |

COJAX presents an amazing and impressive mission, fully supported by solid goals, measurable objectives, and accessible programming all in one package. The budget is fiscally sound, and it is clear from learning about them, COJAX will continue to be successful. Free symphonic concerts are a rare find in most places, but COJAX provides an inclusive artistic outlet for the communities served. Unfortunately, points were deducted for an outdated Section 504 Self Evaluation, which should have been repeated in 2020 and 2022. I was impressed by the annual Gala Fundraising effort and the fact that they engage all-volunteer musicians including new and less experienced ones. I wish photos and videos had been included in the support materials, though I was able to access videos on their website. I am confident in recommending COJAX for funding. |
