longest running fringe festival in the US;

Mission statement - you might want to strengthen it or update it

Diversity lottery - very cool opportunity for artists; partnership with Quest - private perfs. for persons with disabilities

excellent timeline; $2.8 economin impact

All ticket sales given to artists.   tickets range from $5 - $12  $425,000 paid to artists last fiscal

Accessibility - excellent

Evaluation - maybe include results from evaluation; data

I had some problems with the budgets; the operating budget for adm. salaries is $244,269, but the project budget is $280,125?  Why is the project budget higher than the org budget?  Doesn't make sense to me;  Also, org budget for travel is $12,300 but the proposal budget is $15,000; venue rental is $138,150 for project, but org is $102,000

Would have liked to see a sample of the shows and/or artists from past years

  • A well-written grant.
  • Thank you for presenting clear, concise goals with measurable objectives.
  • Excellent Strategy: OF continues to focus on increasing attendance from patrons outside of Central Florida. As part of that effort, 50% of the performance schedule is reserved for local groups. The other 50% is split evenly between national and international artists. With comprehensive marketing and strategic plans in place, non-local visitors are estimated to increase by 3% over the next two years.
  • Explain Artists Application Revenue. What is that policy with artists?
  • Cash marketing expenses ($72,100) are extremely low, countered with exceptional in-kind ($100,000).
  • Budgets balance-to-the-penny each year - EACH of the past five consecutive years has ended with a "strategic reserve of $33,478." These reserves go into a reserve fund. Are there endowment plans in place for portions of reserves, or is the existing reserve fund in essence an unrestricted endowment?
  • Nice to see accessibility addressed within the marketing materials (e.g., publications). How is ADA symbol usage (highly recommended by the State) employed within marketing materials (e.g., website, print, etc.)?
